I started about 6 weeks ago, I've been away virtually every weekend since then, and I work away during the week. I'm getting really frustrated :( This Thursday I should be able to have another go anyhow, first I need to get the front struts off for Paul - I have kept him waiting a month!
Hopefully as soon as I can in the start of the new year. It all depends on how much money I have left after my little trip, how quickly I can source the rear clip when I discover I have the money and how quickly I can get rid of my spare mk1 or pursuade Jons folks to let us have the barn.
The main part is the money tho, I'm not having a cheap holiday so it all rests on that.

No problems here..
The questions remain:
Question:
"Will I get a decent gearbox by then?"
"Will the sucka be chipped and mapped for uber power?" \\:D/
"Will it ever have a radio?" :-\"
"Will the money pit ever end?" [-o<
Hoping for a good turn out next year, as it will be my first visit!

this years was a bit poo john, theres talk of some sort of petition to get JAE back at billing after this years fiasco at peterboro....ok it was a tight fit but made for a better atmosphere.
reading what the organisers have written in defence, points the finger at the club owners..they all went crazy and asked for twice the amount of space that they could fill so everything was far too spaced out..plus the rain on sunday didnt help much..!
jae will never go back to billing cos billing wont have them back cos it was too much for them to handle..they still have thier baby jae now anyway..
at billing theres better camping, better noise levels, its nearer to where i live, it sounds like its more of an atmos than peterborough..
now we could go to either, its your call..
240 days left, 3h 3m 3s tik tik.. no pressure :D , why dont you just get a red hot poker out? :moon:
nice touch

its a real shame y'know cos billing had the bes atmosphere ever,a bit like glastonbury but with modified cars! peterboro has the potential to be as good but i cant see how they can blame the car clubs,ok a few of them might have asked for bigger pitches than they needed but the organisers had them spaced out too far,so it looked emptier than it really was, took hours to walk round it all and that was more the distance between pitches than content.
Jae2006 cant possibly be worse than this years so it can only get better....im surprised there's still a baby jae at billing, anyone know how many attended this year at billing?
lol @ adam .... for gods sake man you have a roof on your car! tick,tock.... :D

The questions remain:
"Will it ever have a radio?" :-\"
I bought a DAB radio a few weeks ago for the garage (30 quid from Currys), with the intention of fitting it into the car once I'd finished, as I wanted something lightweight and in keeping with the stripped out interior. I found a forum where they were saying that all DAB radios are basically the same inside, being consisted of 3 modules: a DAB one, the amplification one, and one that controls the screen/buttons. So all you have to do is dismantle it, wire up a power source and aerial and build it into your dash! I had a DAB-ready Pioneer head unit in the GT4, they wanted 250 quid for the DAB tuner and another 50 for the aerial!
Is the show just the weekend, what happens on the Friday, is it a case of setting up and partying?

we usually travel down in convoy on friday afternoon, set up tents, polish the cars and then get hammered, starts the party early! but officially the show doesnt start until saturday morning and runs through until sunday 5pm ish depending on the weather!
That's what I thought, sounds good to me. I've just been checking out the forum:

Feel free to use my place as a convoy stop, i am just off the A1 in grantham, about 40 miles north of JAE. also goes for anyone else traveling down the A1 from up north. Just hope I have a mr2 to drive, could be embarrasing  .

Jo on IMOC (mr2mk1chick) has been in touch with the organisers and they will put the mk1 club, imoc and us next to each other if we ask them to on the booking form.
Just thought I'd share that piece of info...
what about the MR2OC. Went with them last year and had a good laugh I never tend to deal with IMOC or the Mk1 club
