Hi guys,

I have been a member for ages but not posted anything. I have a mk2 and didnt think i would really fit in. Goldy seems to have done quite well though so i thought i would give it a try. This site is the best thing on the net IMO you are all a right bunch of nutters!!!!!! I have so many ideas of things to do with my two but sadly i dont have all the skills needed - Yet!! I love the way people can post ideas without getting flammed for going against the sheep. Keep up the good work guys. Im even starting to like the little mk1

chris you will definatly fall for the charms of the MK1 ! There ar people on here who have or have had big power toyotas, Dan celeica GT4 205, john with a TT supra (the daddy of power cars), I have the celica GT4 205 as well with plenty of power but none of these big cars give you the fun that the Mk1 gives you and with a decent engine in (there are a handful of supercharger drivers on here) they are best of everything ! Break the MK2 and use the parts for a decent 1.5 build you know it makes sense ! Short of that then put up your ideas for modding your Mk2 as this may have usefulness for 1.5 builders u never know ! Welcome back so to speak and hope you continue to enjoy the charms of the TB site ! (you gotta check out some of the innovations like podges IC set up, Niks rev 3 build ! Paul, well wont even start there ! johns eurokitted 1.5 to name but a few of the superb creations currently coming out of TB towers !

My two is only an N/A im afraid so you lot can keep yer hands off! Some of the ideas i have involve a new engine one day (V6 anyone?) Its a shame that i have big plans and big ideas without the tools for the job or money but we all start somewhere i guess. There must have been a time when even the mighty Paul Woods was asking lots of dumb questions and now look at him. The threads on here at the moment are ace. ABS/traction control, Big brakes/Wheels Aero mods.................. the list just goes on and on.. One day they will all be mine

You'll be getting a mk1 soon. The more you read the more you will be tempted, oh and think bigger than V6. You have more room in that mk2 so it should be a little easier to do than in a mk1.

Hehe i'm sure it wont be long before you buy a mk1... I keep getting tempted but I prefer my cars rust free :wink: .... anyways i've got my hands full with the supercharger project at the moment....

Btw if you're intrested in tuning the mk2, I have a wicked idea for home brew throttle bodies if you want, and i've even got a spare inlet manifold for a GE engine so you could make them up whilst keeping the car on the road! I'm well up for this though I too lack welding skills.... anyways if you are intrested give me a shout and i'll send you some sketches of my plans. :fro:

Hey not all mk1's have rust, just most of them. Hopefully be getting mine sorted soon. When it is I'll get a pic up. You'll have to wear sunglasses to look at the pic tho cos its gonna be shiny :-)

my SC has only one small patch of rust and thats where it was hit with a previous owner and a bad C gets used every day and has just hit 180k kilometers so gets some serious use ! Although that said my T bar for my 1.5 has a high percentage of oxide on it and that stays in a garage all the time !

The very best of re-welcomes to TB,all you need is right here,although we will try our best to get you to sell that probe....SORRY! mk2!!!! force of habit that!!! and buy a mk1...we are halfway to converting goldy,hes beginning to turn to the dark side.

Post all your mad ideas up,nobody gets flamed here....we argue the ifs and buts but nobody ever gets a roasting for their ideas,this place has a totally different vibe,it thrives on the brotherhood of two.

If you want to swap a nice lump into your pr....mk2 the V6 fits very nicely!

Don't worry chris ur not the only 1 without a mk1. I've got the ae92 corolla with a 3sgte going in the front lots of big plans. Podge is helping loads he's great and a right nutter!

Never worry about what you can't do as theres no such thing with a good imagination and patience.
