Hello!

I'm a 22 year old car-builder-rookie from Sweden. Except some heavy and some beautiful car audio installations I have never done anything advanced with cars.

But when a friend of mine sold her -87 Mr2 I couldn't keep my hands of it. But she didn't know how to look after her car so the condition was really bad in several places. Specially then engine.

So after surfing around on the internet for some time I had made up my mind. 3S-GTE powered MK1, please

The Mk1 was never sold in Sweden, nor the turbo Mk2. But my car, originally sold in Germany, is standing waiting for the engine originally sold in Japan and bought by me in Norway. This will make my car really unique in scandinavia.

I put my trust to you folks to help me thru with this. And please remember to excuse my english which often is far from perfect.

welcome bjorn! as per our emails you will get all the help you need right here...we may even be able to source you the odd "impossible to find" part and send it over, you're probably "snowed" under with chocolate cookoo clocks, expensive wristwatches and as many volvo engines as you can lay your hands on :D but im betting a mechanical speedo drive for a rev1 E153 is a tad hard to come by in scandanavia! (you will feel this particular pain about 4 weeks into the swap)

So read read read, ask as many annoying questions as you can, dream of wiring diagrams and get stuck in! but please just relax in the knowledge you arent alone.

welcome bjorn,
glad to see the TB roots are reaching further and wider than i ever imagined.
once you go with the 3SGTE you will not be dissapointed..they are awesome engines..
just ask whatever you need to no matter how silly it may seem..
