Hi, I just figured that i would introduce myself. Ive had my mr2 2 years now and the 16v is worn out, and i dont really feel like rebuilding it because i want more power. I was going to just get a 4agze and swap it but the company i was dealing with couldnt get me one sooo i figured what the hell, im gonna buy a 3sgte. I figure i should be starting the project in a month or so.

hello!. buy a 3sgte/v6, a mere rebuild will not do the trick , even if u was to build it very nicely, and spend money..(i tried that)
wish ya luck.. BE BRUTAL.

ooo and the 4agze, lovely engine, but a fortune in comparison for less power, even harder to get over here than there.. i quit looking for one and opted for a 3s. frustration over.

welcome to twobrutal! its a no brainer...gze is a lot of money but for the same cost you can have 100bhp more,i rest my case m'lud!

Have a good read of our insanity and get stuck in,you wont regret it and all the help you need is right here,some pretty talented chaps here and not one "keyboard mechanic"...if you need any advice on how to get horribly carried away with a grinder im the man to ask.

so youve visited and now i know youre hooked..no one ever leaves twobrutal without an overwhelming desire to ggrriinndd..!!!!

have fun here and see if you fancy a giggle, suggest a really extravagant mod and i gauruntee one of the loons will do it..!

Hey Matt! I was originally contemplating the GZE swap too... then I bumped into that nutter; Paul Woods, and the rest is history... I now have UK mk1.5 #3! :lol:

It's probably less so for you guys across the pond who actually had the GZE as a domestic car, but the engines are pretty hard to find over here and are usually more expensive than the 3SGTE!

nutter?? whats all this ? we'll have no trouble here this is a brutal shop for brutal people....i imagine that just went straight over matts head,ignore me,mr farmer gets it if no one does! :D
