I can't believe my luck. Ever since Billing last year, and James F leaving me totaly astounded by the shear acceleration of the Mk1.5, I have wanted to out the 20v silvertop ever since! That time is soon...very soon. Ebay has supplied the Mk2 turbo all I have to do now is fit it. Hummmm.

Just want to say thanks to paul for putting me on to this forum. :0)
I'm in the process of whacking the CVs of with a very, very large hammer!

james f huh..?? he told me he took someone out in the 1.5
glad you liked it..btw he wasnt thrashing the nuts of it was he.? have to have words about that...
once you experience the violent power of that 2lturbo in a little mk1 it does kinda excite you..?! and id just like to add that he was only running the turbo at 13psi for that little outing..normally its at 18psi even more reason to get excited..
sooo..when can i get details of your swap..then i can add you to the list, i can do podges at the same time then..!

welcome aboard mrju!

nik it was dead funny at jae last year, julian had his 20v there alongside my 1.5 and yours, james said to him if you like i will take you out later for a spin.....later that day a dizzy mrju gets out of a 1.5 saying "thats it im selling the 20v engine!"

James and i just had smiles on our faces...the acceleration never fails to impress.

Ju,where did the 20v go? have you sold it yet?

Hi chaps, adamh i'm in sleepy old Midhurst where I like to keep the locals on there toes! Paul I've not yet sold the 20v, did not want to commit to that until I had found a turbo. Fortunately got one last month from Burnley. My trusty trany 1.6 got me the 600 mile round trip ok (if you saw it you would not believe it!). Nik, no need to worry, James did not take her over the national speed limit...ehem. That car is a credit to you. Cant wait to get mine done. Cheers podge, I will sort the cvs this weekend if all gos well.

Hi Adamh, thanks for the offer of help I may need some!, will give you a bell when I am complete, may be a wile cos I've just started :o But so far its going very well. Just in the process of dropping the 20v out. I realy did not want to start this yesterday, I know i'm going to get Mk1 withdrawal symptoms! A 2.5L N/A diesel Landy just don't have the same get-up and go. Ho hum!!! We will all have to meat up somewhere central when these cars are done and dusted. I'm off now to rebuild some drive shafts.

All the best chaps :D
