A-ha.

Congratulations Loui, if you've been greeted by our hairy chested truck driver "Miss Pitstop" then you know you've arived. Try not to let the pink MK1 put you off he's a pretty good bloke despite the few odd habits. Oh damn didn't you say you knew Stu and Em. in your first post? Bugger that won't work then, back to the drawing board methinks.

welcome aboard loui, stay here long enough and im sure a mk1 will become very tempting,as will the need to grind something!

Those coopers are quick! i was playing with one in my mk2v6 not so long back and i had to give it some to get past,to be honest it was a lot faster than i expected, respect due!

CHEEKY!!!! OOO, by the way...do you have spell check????

Erm yes I do, but occasionally I might forget to use it

:poke2: I do however have the ability to end a question with just one question mark. :gay: Must be a pink girl thing. Maybe Nik could get the witches of brutal a special font with little circles above the i's and j's...

Peace to all pinkies,

Owen.

so come on whats the spec of your cooper s as thats way more power than standard !

so come on whats the spec of your cooper s as thats way more power than standard !

Right the car is a later one with 170bhp as standard an has the faster gear ratios.

The car has had a 210bhp john cooper works conversion which consists of:-

JCW modified eaton m45 supercharger with teflon coated rotors an internals
14% reduction supercharger pulley
Reduced drive belt
Gasflowed head, with small increas in ports
ECU remap
JCW Airbox with revs operated cold air flap/feed
380cc injectors
JCW stainless exhaust

When it was rolling roaded it had, had done further:-

Lightweight 17" BBS RC alloys with 40 profile tyres instead of normal 45profile
Miltek manifold with sport catylist
Magnaflow catback exhaust
Modified airbox with lower plug removed for more air feed

Since then it has had:-

GT tuning Lightweight crank pulley 1% oversize
GRS intercooler
Lohen protector strap (stops belt tensioner smashing crank pulley if belt breaks)

Think thats it, oh an its had other daft things done like:-

Custom brembo 330mm brake conversion
KW variant 2 coilovers
Greddy boost gauge
JCW race sturt brace

An ive got planned:-

Quaife ATB diff
Fidanza lightweight flywheel
helix autosport clutch
Posibly either twincharge conversion or rotrex supercharger conversion

:hehe: would like to break 250whp probably about 300bhp

oh definalty I am a supercharger fan big time hence the user name !

Had a sneaky look at some R56s a while back as my mate is in charge of fualt finding for minis coming off the production line at cowley and they had an open day for family so he got me in there, all the R56 stuff was covered up but got glimpses of bits ! Also found out current cooper S tops out max of 70 on factory test track, new R56 does 90 easily so should be quite a beastie me thinks !

Was thinking of applying for similar job in mini cardiff actually as really fancy a career change and do love minis ! was a mini man long before MR2s and started life in a 1275gt and then had a mini pick up that I did suspension on and added some dunlop D 10" rally alloys and not much took me on bends and corners even with a weedy and only mildly tweeked 998 under the bonnet !

But theres current MCS`s running 12 second quarters an 500whp 8O i should run mid 12`s to 13`s with the power im looking for, plus in not sure the next generation engine will be quite so strong, but out the box its gonna be fun :D

Was actually me that found stu an ems mr2 LOL now theres a story :D

superchargedsam
31-08-2006, 22:26
how did you find the MR2 then ?

500whp is most impressive indeed ! rekon with the power your putting down now it wont be too shabby anyways !

15.2 secs at the mo but traction is the major issue at present, the quaife etc are majorly needed, reckon that could gain me 0.5 of a second at least

Long story on the Mr2 for another time LOL

has twincharging been done yet on a mini ?

Loui
31-08-2006, 22:43
has twincharging been done yet on a mini ?

Is quite mainstream stateside only one company attempting it this side of the pond yet, theres a 12sec quarter mini over here built by 1320autos standard engine just with quaife, lightweight flywheel an uprated clutch an no interior an 100shot of nos

AMD are doing bolt on rotrex chargers for big bhp which sounds a bit more simple, but i need to do a bit more research on these diffs the main thing next :D

Forged pistons an lots of boost!! that was also at 600ft baove sea level apparently which suposidly menas that at sea level it`ll be very close to 10seconds, dunno whether im convicned by that, was the americans that came out with that

Id have thought so with that much boost its going to vary power ec quite significantly
