IMOC refugee here, Michael Canny, thought it was about time I signed up and learnt more about these fancy cars of yours :)

I'm currently without an MR2 but hope to get another one at some point in the future, possibly a V6 MK2.

That's about it :)

Welcome mate!

Michael is a very good memeber to have on board folks, very knowledgeable. Sarcastic. Dry.

His depth and breadth of all things automotive is of real value. Hopefully, he can add some more sarcasm and knowledge to what we do :)

Welcome mate.

I'd quite like to sample the delights of a MK1 for a while, I've only ever 'had a go' in them rather than having the opportunity to live with one.

Unfortunately I've got a rather full driveway at the moment so can't really invest in more cars right now.

welcome to the nuthouse michael :-) are you still running the supra?..

Cheers :)

Yeah still on with the Supra, black one is about to receive a bit more power, I also have a red NA one that I need to shift, a Legacy and a Punto - hence no room for an MR2 :violin:

Plenty of time for all that though :)

Paff
30-11-2006, 13:49
I'll get rid of the punto for you, need something to start a fire with :)

Never burnt a punto so will be a new experience.

You'll never be as good as destroying a Punto as you were at a Sierra though Paff

Long buried as far as I'm concerned sir, my mind if far more open to common sense and other ideas these days.

Nice to be here, still busy reading all the old project threads and general stuff, it's all rather interesting :)

Will have a look for the Megatron post, I remember him from IMOC, has a MK1 Escort as well?

Right, back to the archives...

Fancy seeing you here !

It's taken me a while but now that a friend is having major work done it seems a good a time as any to have a nosey, it's also far more up my street than some of the other "social club, limited tech" websites.

:nerd:

major work?

feels like open heart surgery! My parts bin is going to grow MASSIVELY in the new year :D then it's all back off to Durham again :D

indeed michael,TB boasts the most indepth technical content/clued up members than anywhere else ont tweb.Theres a fair share of banter takes place too mind! but the core element is the tech expertise on hand,we have engineers galore,a fair few IT tech bods,an aviation engineer knocking about somewhere (JB where the hell are you fella!!) right down to the guys that can whip engines out during lunchbreaks....very rarely will you read bad tech advice here,in fact i dont think it happens at all!

someone like yourself with a vast mr2 knowledge and background should fit in quite nicely! by the way do you possess a grinder? get one! :)

biteme
01-12-2006, 19:29
I don't have a grinder. I subcontract my work out hehe

Welcome Michael.

TB is part theoretical science, part DIY, part pig headedness, and a whole heck of a lot of "why the hell not". Oh and a hell of a lot or sarcasm, not to mention sympathetic love for our poor misguided uneducated cousins who seem to think of this MK2 monstrosity as some type of sports car. Oh well, we'll convert them all in the end :tease: :welsh:

Oh and try not to take anything, no matter how innocent, seriously round these parts :woods:

All the best,

Owen.
