Are geriatrics allowed on this site?

I am an aircraft engineer now teaching engineering in Macclesfield. My first car was a 1935 Austin 7 which I bought and rebuilt in 1968. 0-40 in 47.36
Since then I have had all kinds of motors including 1930's MGs, bikes and a family.
Since my two lads have grown up into a kick boxing instructor and an E9 climber, both good healthy obsessions, I felt it was time I had some more fun.
Mk1 seemed, quick,cheap,handles well buuuut??
Read Paul's Mk1.5 articles and being an old git great believer in torque just had to go for V6. The torque curve for the 3VZFE is awesome!!

Started in November, now broken one Camry and about to break another!
Got most bits E153 LSD, Fidanza flywheel, GT4 clutch and driveshafts, 3SGTE fuel pump.

hi john, geriatrics are positively not allowed here, now thats clear, grab yourself a white coat from the rack and come join the circle.

1930's mg huh!.. my.. just how old are we?! free bus in your pocket?..

ive machined parts from a 1930's mg!..
guys are prolly sick of me saying about machining! 'thats my punchline!' ive machined parts from... 'blah '..

no, i have, really.. my old boss had been building one & completed a few years back..used to bring in his parts to 'his' toolroom and get us chaps to machine bits up for him! i'll see if i can get imagery or info on it.. his name was David dawson!. i dont know how tight mg circles are for a vehicle as particular as that.. but ya never know!..

p.s.. we dont smell, we bath at least once a week during conversions

hello again jonathan..
glad you made it to the forum..
like as said in the email, it's fantastic news that there is another V6 being created..imho i think the V6 will become (if it hasnt already) the only serious alternative to the 3SGTE..and once we've seen pauls endowed with a SC  ..well..!?!
seeing as though you're obviously bordering insanity as are most of us you are more than welcome..i hear pauls garage actually has padded walls you know..
so get lots of pics to me and i can get you listed in the 1.5 registry for all to see..
and as for personal hygeine..no comment..btw anyone know why tranmission oil is so damn stinkin..?! i hate that stuff..
anway .. welcome JB

My lad says if you don't fall off when climbing you are not trying hard enough so don't tell me you fellas don't smell.
