Hello everyone!! Thought i'd introduce myself as I will hopefully be a Mk1.5 owner within the next year...

Plan to transform my tidy white '89 into something a little more grrrr!! I officially have girlfriend approval (the most important part!!) and am entering the 'research' stage of the project... I'm not one to cut things out of my car then say... "wait a second... so I did need that bit!!"

Look forward to hearing everyones pearls of wisdom!! (especially from Paul *the* Mk1 Guru!!) - I'm sure you'll read this - so i'd like to say thanks for replying to my past e-mails :) when I've had the odd problem

welcome mate,glad you found TB...mad as hatters here....the ferret will find you anything you need,also does an excellent pub lunch.

NikF our lord n master is the admin,unfortunately hes stuck out in india so feel free to spontaneously post up a pic of your sunday dinner....he loves that.... :lol: if you need any help with site stuff hes your man,oh and does a rather fetching TB t-shirt too...although you might have to buy the girlfriend one too...

We have a few resident engineers/boffins/geeks (delete where applicable) :lol: JB and adam can pretty much pull a formula out for almost anything...or machine cool stuff from scratch.

I trust you have a grinder? the number one tool in your arsenal.

Loads of chaps here to help.....not sure about the guru status! :oops:

welcome to the world of the brutal two..

research is key to a succesful swap and all could you ever need to know is here..glad you found us..

grab a grinder, ask a few questions and buy a shirt..
oh and the gf will much prefer 300bhp to 130bhp anyday..she'll think youre an engineering god and try to worship you after a swap..this can be an annoyance, hence the TB tshirts..it reminds gfs and wives that you are in fact just slightly insane and quite a normal guy in reality..
