I have been meaning to post up on here for a long time now. Probably won't be pulling my engine out anytime soon, but have discussed with Mr Woods the potential beauty of a 2zzge and a mk3 box fitted in the back of a mk1. A promotion is on the cards for me at work, so who knows if I can find the bits easily enough.
Some of you know me (Paul W, Podge) some won't. Live down in the SW and have had my mk1 for getting on for five years now. Christ! thats gone by quick. I like doing modding on the cheap as well.

hey steve,welcome to our little corner of the www ! i think the 2zz on mk3 box is begging to be done by someone in the UK and id love to see you do it mate,i think it would be a screamer! rest assured any help or info you would need is always on offer from inside these four virtual walls.

For those that dont know spud he owns a very clean red mk1 thats perfect in all the right places,hes pretty clued up on mk1s too,not much he doesnt know about them....anyway enough arse licking! welcome aboard mate.

Yes the 2zz is indeed the vvti celica engine,only a 1.8 but its the most powerful NA under 2.0ltr that toyota have ever made.

Cheers for that fellas. A very warm welcome indeed. I have had a look at fensports site for the first time in ages and there advertising a 2zzge for sale! Bit dear though 1250 quid plus the vat.
The spudgun did come from bottom, I used to use it as my PC gamer tag when I was younger and used it ever since. I saw that episode on sky again the other day, oh how I laughed!
Anyway back to the engine again,when I start in the drawing office, I will start to do a bit of research on gearboxs and stuff. I guess I will have to run it on a stand-alone engine management, if it ever comes to that.
