    Yeah, but that supercharged 2GR will be a Mk2 or Mk3 as no-one is insane enough to make a 2GR fit a MK1....

    Certainly interested but I've got a solid E153 box so will wait until it pops its clogs before stumping up the cash for one of these, by which point they should be a fairly proven bit of kit.

    Laze,

    i'm not suggesting you don't wait before buying. but it should be mentioned that these gearboxes are designed for a nominal input of 400Nm the 2GR puts out about 330Nm so there is significant room to grow. gearboxes will also usually put up to quite a bit more than their nominal rating (take the E153 for example, we don't have the manufacturing numbers from it, but it puts up to torque figures that are 5-6 times bigger than the original motor it was pared with.)
